Please note that our offices are no longer requiring masks for doctors and staff unless state or local authorities, including state optometric boards, require the wearing of masks. In those isolated cases our doctors and staff will follow those local guidelines. Due to the close proximity contact our doctors and staff must have with patients as part of their evaluation, a doctor, staff or patient may still request masks be worn during these encounters.
Please let our staff know if you would like them to wear a mask during times of close contact. Also, you may be asked by a doctor or staff to wear a mask during portions of your visit, and a mask will be provided to you if you do not have one. These situations may vary practice by practice. We are closely monitoring changes as they occur.
You can feel confident with a visit to our offices knowing we have revisited every step in your visit, with your safety and that of our medical team in mind. We have outlined additional disinfection and cleaning procedures that continue to be a focus for our team to ensure cleanliness.
Our team is required to submit to a basic screening at the beginning of every shift, prior to reporting to work and also upon arrival at the office. This includes a daily evaluation of signs or symptoms. Self reporting of any COVID-19 related symptoms, including fever, cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell/taste, diarrhea, or extended exposure to an individual with COVID-19. Employees exhibiting signs or symptoms will not report to work.
Unless otherwise mandated by the state, city or region, patients and visitors are not required to wear their own mask or cloth face covering upon arrival to the facility.
You will be asked to check in with the designated Compliance Officer when you arrive. This person will conduct a brief health assessment questionnaire prior to checking you in for your appointment.
We encourage all patients to print and complete the Welcome Sheet with your updated contact and health information and bring with you to your appointment. You will be required to sign a consent form prior to seeing the doctor; a new or disinfected pen will be provided upon request.
All equipment or tools used throughout the pre-testing process and while in the exam lane will be continuously disinfected between patients.
When it comes time to pick out your eyewear, we invite you to peruse our collection as you normally would. Our staff will sanitize any frame you wish to try on if you so choose.
We welcome you to visit us anytime, and look forward to seeing you soon.
